The Firm recruits people as per its needs and requirements round the year depending on vacancies – in the corporate and transactional practice as well as the dispute resolution team. The recruitment process takes place over two rounds. The first round comprises a written test of a candidate’s knowledge of legal principles and commercial acumen. Successful candidates move onto a second round of personal interview with the partners of the Firm.

While processing any application for recruitment, we carefully scan covering letters and resumes to ensure that the potential recruit is not only a good lawyer, but also a team player. We also prefer candidates with good writing skills.

The internship programme at Sarthak aims to be an all round experience for a prospective intern. Interns are exposed to a variety of laws and legal problems during their internship at Sarthak. At the same time, they are also encouraged to hone and learn soft skills such as team work and accountability, which we hope will hold them in good stead as they embark on their professional lives. The professional yet relaxed culture at Sarthak ensures that interns are provided guidance and feedback at every step, as necessary.

Our internship programme is designed for a period of four weeks. This ensures that interns are able to do meaningful work and also that we are able to better assess their abilities. The program is open year round. However, we prefer that our interns work on a full time basis. Also, it is advisable that a prospective intern applies third year onwards if pursuing a five-year integrated LL.B. course or second year onward in three year LL.B. programmes.
